Mission Statement

To reinstating hope in orphans and less privileged by providing some of their basic needs, medical attention and ensuring they attain the education they desire, to discourage the mentality of dependence, create a social, moral and productive life for them and render assistance to the needy.

Our Aim

To advocate for the rights of vulnerable children and the needy, with special reference to the girl child so that they can live a comfortable life even after some sad experience in their lives.

Our Journey: How Future Hope Foundation Began

Born from crisis, driven by compassion, committed to creating lasting change

2014

Birth During Crisis

Future Hope Foundation was founded during the devastating Ebola epidemic in Sierra Leone. Our founder, Abu Bakarr Conteh, worked as a volunteer for the All Political Party Association (APPA), monitoring Ebola Quarantine Homes in the Western Area Rural District.

Witnessing the Suffering

During this period, countless tragic incidents occurred - from displacement to food shortages in Quarantine Homes. Inadequate security and support systems forced quarantined victims to leave their homes in search of food, unintentionally spreading the virus further.

2014-2015

The Spark of Hope

Deeply moved by the suffering of children during this crisis, Abu dedicated himself to alleviating their hardships. He witnessed first-hand how desperately these children needed support that wasn't available. This sparked the idea for an organization that would restore hope and provide tangible assistance.

Using his own resources, including personal allowances, Abu began providing immediate relief to affected children.

January 26, 2015

Official Establishment

With support from Osman Jalloh, who provided funds for registration, Future Hope Foundation was officially registered under the Corporate Affairs Commission. From this foundation, our mission to support and bring joy to vulnerable children began in earnest.
